HAS PTA Events & Activities for the Week of 10-08-18

  • REMINDER! Single Session tomorrow, Monday October 8, 2018

 

This Friday Night! –  10/12/18 @ 7:00- 9:00 PM

  • We are still in need of parents to help decorate, and if your 6th grader will be attending, you must sign them up here: http://signup.com/go/XaHYKMR. See the attached flyer for more information.

 

  • Trick or Trunk 🎃 Friday – 10/26/18

Many trunks are needed to make this event a success. Your vehicle does not have to be elaborately decorated.  It is very easy to participate. We provide the candy, and it’s a lot of fun for the kids to have a variety of trunks to visit. Please sign up here: http://signup.com/go/vyToDuC. – If you decide to decorate: On Friday, 10/26, report to the HAS teacher’s parking lot at 4 pm. We will provide each car with candy to pass out. The cars are assigned numbers, and votes will be taken throughout the event. The 3 most popular cars will be awarded a prize.

– If you are attending this event but not decorating a trunk:  We ask that you donate a bag of allergy safe candy or non food items. You can bring all candy donations to the main office. Here is a list of some acceptable donations:  Haribo Gummies, Mike & Ike’s, Utz Halloween Pretzel Treats, Goldfish, Skinny Pop popcorn, Dots, Surfs Sweets, Enjoy Life Cookies, Tootsie rolls/pops, PEZ, Charms Blow Pops/lollipops, Skittles, Smarties, Double Bubble Gum, Sour Patch Kids, DumDum Lollipops, Swedish Fish, Ring Pops, Twizzlers, Jelly Belly Jelly beans, Airheads, & Starburst. Non food giveaways, such as pencils, erasers, stickers, tattoos. etc. *PLEASE BE ADVISED: Any candy that is donated that cannot be distributed due to allergy concerns will be donated to the Cranford Police Department.

  • Middle Schoolers – Earn service hours by helping out at Trick or Trunk! Send an email to [email protected] to let us know you’ll be there.

 

  • Box Tops – You can send them in to school with your child until 10/26. Please send all box tops in an envelope or baggie labeled with the student’s name and grade. Students with the most box tops will earn a prize (TBD). The fall deadline is rapidly approaching and we don’t want to miss the opportunity to earn free money for our school.

 

  • Membership is down! Please join the PTA asap. Why? Because the HAS PTA is a membership organization. We rely on your support to continue running all the amazing events for the students as HAS. Your membership dollars go directly back to the students. Each year we contribute $10 per child for field trips. We sponsor many events & activities during the school year such as: Picture day, Pumpkin Patch, Trick or Trunk, Stem Nights, Classroom parties, Book Fairs, Pool Parties & much more.
